Baku to Brazil: How Financial Sector Leadership can Change the World
When: Tuesday 21 January, 14:00-16:00 CET
Location: Central SportHotel, Davos

How are the biggest financial institutions responding to a more sustainability-focused world? Which firms are helping drive the positive change the planet needs? How can finance lead us from COP 29 commitments to concrete action at COP 30?
Join us at the World Economic Forum in Davos as we launch the 2025 Financial System Benchmark, the world’s largest and most comprehensive review of the global financial sector and its commitment to the UN SDGs. We’ll tackle these and other topics as we dive into the Benchmark and explore how the financial sector is responding to long-standing issues such as climate change, as well as cutting edge topics like the Just Transition and sustainable investment in emerging markets. We’ll also hear from senior leaders from business, finance and government on how the financial sector can use its power to catalyse real change – in both developed and developing countries.
Agenda:
- 14:00-14:15: Welcome and opening remarks
- 14:15-14:30: Presentation on the 2025 Financial System Benchmark
