9 September 2026 | Bogotá, Colombia
The World Benchmarking Alliance is thrilled to bring our 2026 Action Forum to Bogotá, Colombia, bringing together Allies and stakeholders from across business, civil society, finance, public institutions and international organisations to explore what credible corporate transition looks like in practice. The forum will examine how global expectations on corporate sustainability can respond to regional realities and translate into practical pathways for action.
This year, we are proud to be working with FCDS – Foundation for Conservation and Sustainable Development as our strategic partner and co-host. FCDS brings deep expertise in biodiversity, territorial governance, sustainability and the socio-environmental challenges affecting the Colombian Amazon and wider region, helping ground the forum in local perspectives and implementation realities.
Companies around the world are making commitments on climate, nature, human rights and responsible business. However, the world has moved beyond just committments. The challenge is increasingly about implementation, and whether companies can turn those commitments into credible action in the places where they operate, understand how different priorities interact, manage the trade-offs between them and avoid making progress in one area at the expense of another.
This is where regional perspectives matter. Corporate transitions are shaped by local economies, ecosystems, communities and policy environments. Understanding these realities can provide a more complete picture of corporate transition readiness and help inform clearer expectations for companies.
Colombia provides this important context for this conversation. Biodiversity protection, energy transition, extractive industries, agricultural value chains, social inequality and the rights of Indigenous and local communities are deeply interconnected. The country offers an opportunity to explore what an integrated approach to corporate transition means on the ground, while drawing wider lessons for Latin America and the global sustainability conversation.
Drawing on WBA’s latest assessments and insights into 2,000 of the world’s most influential companies, the Action Forum will create space to:
The forum will bring WBA’s global benchmark insights together with the perspectives of stakeholders working across Colombia and Latin America. By combining evidence with regional experience, the discussion will explore what credible corporate transition looks like in practice and how local realities can help shape stronger expectations for companies.
If you are working on corporate sustainability, climate, nature, human rights or responsible business in Colombia and would like to connect with WBA while we are in Bogotá, we would be pleased to hear from you.
