Sebastian Carcoana

Sebastian joined WBA in May 2024 as a Research Analyst on the Climate and Energy team. He is passionate about sustainable development and the role of sustainability research in driving positive change.

Sebastian has over three years of experience in the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) research field and specializes in climate risk, low-carbon transition, and water management. In his previous role as an ESG Analyst, Sebastian advised on and participated in multiple stages of ESG research including methodology and indicator development, drafting guidance documents, training and mentoring research analysts, and continuous improvement of the research process. He also led projects exploring research automation with a focus on improving scalability and efficiency.

He holds a MSc in Environmental and Energy Management from the University of Twente as well as a BA in International Relations and Diplomacy from The Ohio State University.
