Laura Zaconeta

Laura is deeply committed to sustainable development, driven by her belief in the financial system’s transformative power to create positive impacts for both people and the planet.

In 2021, guided by her convictions, Laura began realigning her decade-long career in Bolivia’s financial markets toward sustainable finance. She earned a Master’s degree in Impact Evaluation for International Development from the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom, and continues to deepen her expertise through specialization in impact management and evaluation within the financial sector.

Before joining the World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA), Laura served as Green Finance Officer at WWF. In this role, she led the “Bolivia’s greening finance strategy”, collaborating with banks, investment fund managers, and financial regulators to integrate environmental and social (E&S) considerations into financial decision-making.
