Guna joined WBA in 2025 as Engagement Lead for the Nature Benchmark. His role involves nurturing relationships with different stakeholder groups in Australia throughout the Nature Benchmark cycle.

Guna has a rich and diverse background in the nonprofit and arts sectors across the Asia Pacific and Central Africa. He was an audio engineer for music, film and theatre. As a filmmaker, he produced videos for development and environmental organizations. In Australia, he led resettlement programmes for refugees and asylum seekers. In wildlife conservation, he coordinated investigations on illegal wildlife trade and was instrumental in the CITES up-listing of the slow loris species to Appendix 1.

His work on protected species bycatch and depleting fish stocks led to his Masters (International Community Development, Victoria U) research paper which focused on gaps and blindspots of stakeholders involved in addressing human trafficking and forced labour in the fisheries sector.

Prior to joining WBA, Guna was with the Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB), facilitating dialogue and collaborative relationships between major global brands, their suppliers, civil society and governments in Asia. He is currently a Research Fellow with IHRB.
