Trend
Ørsted receives a trend score of +. If the company were reassessed in the near future, its score would likely improve. Ørsted’s target is to substantially decarbonise and eliminate its scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2025. This is faster than its 1.5°C pathway. Its net-zero scope 3 emissions target extends to 2040 and progress on this will be slower. However, its commitment to phase out coal by the end of 2024, coupled with the installed and planned capacity for renewables, is strong evidence that its emissions will continue to decline at a sector-leading rate.
