Régie autonome des transports parisiens Group
The RATP Group, formerly known as Régie autonome des transports parisiens, was established in 1949 to operate Paris's public transport system. It manages 16 metro lines with 302 stations covering 206 kilometres. It also operates 4,775 buses and oversees 66 train stations with 117 kilometres of regional railway lines. In 2002, RATP Dev was created to handle international operations and maintenance across 16 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania.
