Waste Management Inc., or WM, is the largest integrated waste management company in the World in terms of its revenue, fleet size and customer base. With 26,000 trucks in operation, WM provides environmental services to nearly 21 million residential, industrial, municipal and commercial customers in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. The company's network includes 337 transfer stations, 254 active landfill disposal sites and 97 recycling plants. Combined with its largest competitor, Republic Services, the two companies handle more than half of all waste collection in the United States.
