Danish Crown is one of Europe’s largest meat producers and processors, with leading market positions in both the beef and pork markets. The company is owned by the cooperative society Leverandørselskabet Danish Crown AmbA, which has an elected management consisting of 6,426 cooperative members. Danish Crown has four main business areas: agriculture (rearing of animals by farmers), fresh meat (slaughtering, processing and sales), foods (processing and packaging of meat products for direct consumption) and casings (use of by-products). It serves 100 million consumers across its main markets of Denmark, Poland, Sweden and the United Kingdom, with a global presence covering North and South America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia and market access to over 130 countries worldwide.
