Hosted by: World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA) and the Investor Alliance for Human Rights (IAHR)
This webinar launches the 2026 Investor Guidance. The guidance builds on the 2026 Corporate Human Rights Benchmark (CHRB) and turns its findings into action, giving investors and other financial institutions smart questions to use in engagement dialogues, stewardship, due diligence and more. It is organised around the four engagement themes that underpin the Investor Alliance for Human Rights’ CHRB 2.0 collaborative engagement. These themes cover embedding respect for human rights, robust human rights due diligence, supply chain transparency and responsible purchasing practices, and effective grievance mechanisms and remedy.
The Investor Alliance has coordinated this engagement track since 2019. Its current iteration, CHRB 2.0, draws on the CHRB data released in January 2026. It brings together dozens of investors to engage 105 benchmarked companies in five high-risk sectors: food and agricultural products, apparel, extractives, ICT manufacturing and automotive manufacturing. The engagement focuses on how these companies perform against the expectations laid out in the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
A transition cannot be considered successful if workers and communities are left behind. Strong human rights due diligence, transparent supply chains and access to remedy are how investors can tell whether companies are managing their impacts on people, and whether their wider sustainability commitments hold up.
Investors, asset owners, asset managers, stewardship and ESG teams, and other financial institutions engaging companies on human rights.
