Vinamilk
Vinamilk is the biggest dairy company in Vietnam. It operates 12 domestic farms, as well as one in neighbouring Laos, and 16 domestic factories (plus one in Cambodia and the United States). It produces a diverse portfolio of over 250 products including liquid and powdered milk, yoghurt, ice cream and beverages. Despite earning 85% of revenues from domestic sales, Vinamilk has a growing international presence and exports its products to 40 countries, predominantly in Asia and Western and Central Africa.
Segment ranking summary
Vinamilk ranks 17th among animal protein producers, demonstrating that despite its inconsistency across the benchmark measurement areas, it still outperforms most of its peers in the livestock, dairy and seafood sectors. The company ranks fifth in nutrition relative to its peers, primarily thanks to its food safety efforts. Despite its lack of overall disclosure on social inclusion, it also outperforms many companies, thanks to its efforts to improve the productivity and resilience of Vietnamese dairy farmers. Vinamilk performs comparatively poorly on environmental indicators, lacking comprehensive and time-bound targets for its most material topics, which many peers have already introduced. The company also ranks 77th in the food and beverage processing segment, ahead of the majority of its peers.
