Public Investment Corporation (PIC)

Established in 1911, Public Investment Corporation (PIC) is an asset management firm wholly owned by the government of the Republic of South Africa, represented by the Minister of Finance. PIC runs a diversified investment portfolio which includes listed equities, real estate, capital market, private equity and impact investing. Through listed investments, PIC controls over 10% of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). As of 2021, it had ZAR 3.9 billion in total assets and 376 employees.
