Light Rail Transit Authority

The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) is a government-owned and controlled corporation under the Department of Transportation (DOTr) in the Philippines. Established in 1980 and headquartered in Pasig City, LRTA is responsible for constructing, operating, maintaining and leasing the Manila Light Rail Transit System. The system spans 37.3 kilometres with two lines predominantly elevated, serving 33 stations and around 49 million passengers per year.
