The Egyptian Company for Solid Waste Recycling (ECARU) is the largest of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa. It provides waste management services to the city of Cairo, Egypt, and processes 500,000 tons of municipal solid waste annually. ECARU operates under Qalaa Holdings, which is traded on the Egyptian Stock Exchange and has subsidiaries in the energy, cement, agrifoods, transportation & logistics, mining, and printing & packaging industries.
