Hormel Foods

Hormel Foods is a large-scale branded foods company. It was founded in 1891 and began as a processor of meat and food products. Although pork and turkey remain the major raw materials for its products, Hormel Foods now also manufactures and distributes other consumer items alongside the commodity fresh meat business, including ready meals, snacks and beverages. Some of the well-known brands in its portfolio are Skippy, SPAM and Hormel. Internationally, the company markets its products through Hormel Foods International Corporation (HFIC), a wholly owned subsidiary. HFIC has a global presence in the international marketplace through joint ventures in locations including Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Japan and the Philippines.
