The company could demonstrate stronger transition alignment by providing more public financial details on its transition management, and by publishing well below 2-degree scenario and stress testing results in its planning, looking beyond the current 10-year analysis period.

With 0.79 percent low-carbon vehicle sales in 2019, the company is significantly behind the 5.7 percent required for its decarbonisation pathway alignment. Groupe PSA’s most important focuses for improved low-carbon transition alignment could therefore be to rapidly ramp up sales of its full electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles and to maintain a low-carbon aligned approach post its merger with Fiat Chrysler.
