Act ethically
The company could describe the process for identifying its bribery and corruption risks and impacts in specific locations or activities covering its own operations, and include anti-bribery and anti-corruption clauses in its contracts with business relationships.
The company has a publicly available policy statement setting its political engagement approach, but it still has an opportunity to disclose a policy statement setting out its lobbying approach, specifying that the company does not make political contributions and/or disclosing these are only made by exception and based on transparent criteria.
Provide and promote decent work
While the company discloses that it strives to monitor and improve the health and safety standards of its own operations, it has an opportunity to disclose how it monitors the health and safety performance of its suppliers. The company also has an opportunity to set and disclose a time-bound target to pay all worker a living wage, and support the payment of living wages by its suppliers.
In terms of gender equality and women’s empowerment, the company has an opportunity to disclose a public commitment, disclose time-bound targets related to this commitment, and increase the representation of women on its board.
Respect human rights
The company discloses statements committing it to respect the ILO’s fundamental rights at work. However, it has an opportunity to use stronger language to turn the statement into a formal commitment. Additionally, while the company expects its suppliers to respect specific workers’ rights, it has an opportunity to reference all the ILO fundamental rights at work.
