Company and investor roundtable: what makes a corporate transition credible?

We are pleased to be partnering with Climate Action for the Sustainable Investment Forum 2026, taking place on Tuesday 22 September at 14.30-15.30.

Bringing together 250 senior decision-makers from across investment, finance, policy and business, the Forum will explore how sustainable finance can move from commitments to capital allocation and how investors can support the transition towards a more resilient, low-carbon and nature-positive economy.

During the Forum, WBA is organizing a closed-door investor–company roundtable exploring what credible corporate transition looks like in practice. Taking place from 14:30-15:30 on 22 September, the discussion will examine how companies are navigating interconnected climate, nature and social priorities alongside competitiveness, energy security and resilience, and what investors need to identify, support and reward meaningful progress.

Drawing on WBA’s emerging Integrated Transition Assessment, the session will focus on the evidence behind credible transition, from strategy and capital allocation to implementation, supply chains and performance.

BSR & WBA interactive company peer learning: stress-testing climate transition plans in uncertain times

This session will take place from 11:00-14:00 on 21 September, bringing together BSR members and WBA-assessed companies to explore how climate transition plans can evolve from compliance documents into practical management tools that guide decision-making amid uncertainty. The interactive session will offer expert perspectives and help participants stress-test a sample company's transition plan.
Whether your business is developing its first transition plan or refining an existing one, this session will demonstrate how they can be a powerful tool to build resilience and create long-term value.

Investing in Nature: closing the nature materiality gap in food and agriculture (food and agriculture companies only)

Join us for a closed-door breakfast roundtable from 8:00-9:30am on 24 September co-hosted with TNFD and Macdoch Foundation and hosted by Goals House, Tavern on the Green. Bringing together senior leaders from finance and the food and agriculture sector, the session explores why nature remains under-recognised as a material issue, what is preventing stronger action across the value chain and how closing that gap can position nature not just as a reporting consideration, but as a source of resilience, long-term value and competitive advantage.

Towards an Integrated Transition: The Next Era of Corporate Sustainability

Taking place from 11.15am-12.45pm on Tuesday 22 September, WBA is hosting a closed-door roundtable to launch its white paper on integrated transitions across climate, nature and social issues. The discussion will explore how companies can better navigate the interactions and trade-offs between transitions and strengthen delivery of internationally agreed sustainable development commitments. It will bring together senior leaders from governments, the UN system, investors, companies and research institutions to consider how corporate practice and the multilateral system can better support implementation, particularly in the context of the post-2030 agenda.
