The Methodology for the 2023 Electric Utilities Benchmark

This sector-specific methodological report is a supplement to our general methodology for the Climate and Energy Benchmark. It defines the specific scope and boundaries used in our upcoming 2023 Electric Utilities Benchmark. Additionally, it provides the rationale for the inclusion of the 81 companies selected for assessment. Finally, it includes a short summary of the ACT Generic and ACT Electricity methodologies that will be used in this benchmark. 

The ACT Generic and Electricity methodologies are undergoing an update process by WBA, ADEME and CDP. The full versions are expected to be published by September 2023 in the ACT Initiative website (https://actinitiative.org/).
