It could also disclose its processes for identifying and addressing bribery and corruption, along with implementing a grievance mechanism for stakeholders to raise related complaints.
Additionally, the company could disclose its approach to lobbying and political engagement, specifying that it does not make political contributions and divulging its lobbying expenditures.
Provide and promote decent work
The company has an opportunity to disclose a policy commitment on worker health and safety in its operations and supply chain, and provide evidence on how it monitors supplier compliance. Additionally, it could set a time-bound target for paying all workers a living wage or state that it has achieved this goal. The company could also explain its method for determining a living wage in each region and how it supports suppliers in ensuring their workers receive a living wage.
Moreover, the company could commit to gender equality and women’s empowerment, and disclose related time-bound targets, along with information on the representation of women on the highest governance body, and ratio of basic salary and remuneration of women to men.
Respect human rights
The company has an opportunity to disclose a policy statement that commits to respecting human rights recognized as fundamental rights at work by the ILO, and extend this expectation to its suppliers.
Additionally, the company has the chance to describe the process for identifying its human rights risks and impacts covering both its own operations and its supply chain. It can also outline a process for assessing and identifying its salient human rights issues. Finally, it could establish a global system to address its salient human rights issues.
