VEON was founded in 1992 as VimpelCom and rebranded in 2017. While the company is headquartered in the Netherlands, it is one of the largest telecommunications providers in the Russian Federation. VEON provides telecommunications services in nine countries in Europe, Central Asia, South Asia and North Africa. The company’s network served 210 million customers in 2020.
