Miguel Aguilar Coronado

Miguel joined WBA in September 2024 as a Research Analyst in the Nature team. He holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Lakehead University in Ontario, Canada.

He is passionate about finding ways to advance sustainability through research. He firmly believes that transparency and access to information on sustainability empower people to drive transformative change.

His research experience began by developing sustainable products, focusing on the life cycle of everyday items, and identifying opportunities to reduce their environmental impacts. Through academic research, he investigated wastewater treatment technologies aimed at eliminating toxic pollutants coming from the oil-sands industry in Canada.

Outside of work, he enjoys hiking in the mountain landscapes of Mexico and watching movies (his favorite thing is making Oscar predictions).
