Growing momentum for Human Rights Due Diligence
13 June 2024, 11:00 - 13:00
Momentum around Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) – from mandatory legislation to new guidelines – is on the rise. This session will focus on socialising WBA methodologies for third-party assessments, giving stakeholders a tool they can use to support legislative efforts in the region. The session will include examples from organisations that have conducted such assessments as well as how the results were used to advocate for corporate responsibility to respect human rights at a national level.
The roundtable will include details and practical information on 1. How stakeholders can use WBA’s core UNGPs methodology 2. how we work with partners to support these assessments and 3. examples of how stakeholders used these assessments for engagement purposes to influence policy.
