Xuelai Wang

Xuelai joined the Nature team at WBA in 2023. She holds a Master’s degree in Ecology and Conservation from Uppsala University, Sweden, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Avian Ecology at Groningen University, Netherlands.

Before joining WBA, she conducted research on the impact of climate change on migratory birds and how these species adapt to the changing world. Her studies focused on the mechanisms behind the advancement of bird migration phenology brought on by climate change and the potential limits to this advancement. This research gave her a deep understanding of the urgency of the climate crisis and the need to take action.

She has a great passion for environmental and sustainability-related topics and is committed to contributing to improving the living world around us and making a positive impact through her work at WBA.
