Research Analyst

Based in Turin, Viviana joined WBA in 2022 as a Research Analyst in the Social Transformation team focussing on human rights and gender research and has in 2025 transitioned to the Climate Benchmark team.
Prior to WBA, she worked at the Rainforest Alliance as a specialist on gender equality and human rights within agriculture value chains and community-based landscape restoration. At the Rainforest Alliance, she contributed to project design and grant management, gender and inclusivity mainstreaming within operations and field interventions, awareness raising and capacity building, gender-responsive M&E, impact studies. She strongly believes in the power of concerted action among civil society organizations, governments, businesses and research. She enjoys saving food to reduce waste, doing DIY, and being a Board member of the Italian General Assembly of Fair Trade organizations Equo Garantito.
Viviana holds a BSc in International Development from the University of Pisa and a MSc in Sustainable Development from the Utrecht University, where she specialized in social field research and impact evaluation. She is also an ILO certified Participatory Gender Audit facilitator.
