Research Analyst

Vania joined WBA in December 2024 as a Research Analyst.
Vania brings a unique mix of academic research and practical experience, enabling her to address sustainability challenges with both analytical rigor and real-world insight. With expertise in the Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use (AFOLU) sector for climate mitigation, she has worked as a researcher and carbon project developer. Vania has also broadened her research interest to Indonesian food systems, examining the connections between food, environment, and policy. Her hands-on experience includes working with an Indonesian youth NGO to tackle marine debris, collaborating closely with communities and government agencies to address local challenges effectively.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung and a master’s in environmental systems and policy from ETH Zurich, where she specialized in nature-based solutions and benefit-sharing in REDD+ projects. Outside of work, Vania enjoys exploring the outdoors and indulging in Indonesian cuisine, with a special fondness for root vegetables.
