Research Analyst - Gender Benchmark
Sanjini is an Indian qualified lawyer. She has pursued her LL.M. in Sustainable International Development Law from University of Washington School of Law, Seattle.
She currently works as a Researcher with the Gender Benchmark where she leads research on topics including gender governance and strategy, gender equality in leadership, gender pay gap and health and well-being support in the workplace and supply chain. Prior to this, she supported the development of WBA’s first Nature Benchmark.
In the past, she has worked as a Business & Human Rights Consultant at Impactt Limited, a London based consultancy specializing in ethical trade, human rights and labour standards. She led and managed Impactt’s flagship business and human rights programme in Mumbai, India. Other responsibilities during her tenure here included work on projects related to ethical management of international supply chains, carrying out human rights risk assessments and business & human rights related research for the private sector.
She has also routinely advised clients on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues, which included advising on issues related to environmental and social compliance, conducting ESG due diligences and preparing due diligence reports to highlight environmental and social risks associated with an investment or project. She also assisted clients in understanding and adopting the internationally recognized best practices and frameworks for ESG.
