Richard Gardiner
EU Public Policy Lead
Richard Gardiner joined WBA as EU Public Policy Lead in May 2022. He supports the WBA team by tracking and monitoring the relevant policy developments with regard to sustainability matters in the EU. In particular he looks at legislation on corporate accountability and furthering corporate transparency. Richard has more than 10 years experience working on EU legislation and has experience interacting with the European Commission, Council and Parliament.
He has previously worked for European stock exchanges where he focused on market transparency and integrity. He then joined Global Witness where he led their campaign for binding rules on supply chain due diligence for multinational enterprises. He is an Irish national based in Brussels.
