Mingyang Hao

Mingyang joined the WBA in September 2024 as a Research Analyst in the Climate and Decarbonization team. He gained academic experience with research interests in choice behavior modeling and transport decarbonization policy as a lecturer at Beijing University of Technology. Meanwhile, he joined the World Bank’s Beijing office as a transport consultant, where he conducted the sector policy note and country flagship report, and was involved in project management and evaluation from project design to implementation and completion.

Mingyang holds a PhD degree from Nagoya University and a Master’s degree from the University of Southern California, specializing in transportation engineering. He speaks Chinese, English and Japanese.
