Kira Stone

Kira recently joined WBA as a Research Analyst in the Financial System Benchmark. She is passionate about sustainable development and just transition, particularly in the African region as well as encouraging the financial sector to play a key role in this. She looks forward to holding the financial sector accountable through the FSB benchmark.

Prior to joining WBA, Kira worked in the international development and non-profit sectors. Most recently, she worked at FSD Africa and managed a membership alliance of African financial institutions who were committed to the nature finance agenda and catalysing nature-positive African economies.

Kira holds an MSc in African Studies from the University of Oxford, a BSocSci in Political Science and Honours in International Relations from the University of Cape Town (UCT).
