Research Analyst
Ghalia joined WBA as a Research Analyst in the Financial System Benchmark, where she is focusing on the social indicators.
Prior to joining WBA, she worked in both the humanitarian and corporate sectors. She worked in project development for ACTED in Lebanon, formulating and reporting on development programs focused on social stability, economic resilience and good governance. She then worked as a Sustainability Analyst in the cocoa supply chain for a global commodities’ trading company. She researched various topics in nature and biodiversity protection, farmer livelihoods and climate change, supported the formulation of corporate Key Performance Indicators and policies, performed a baseline assessment for origin operations, and worked on the cocoa sustainability report.
She studied for an Master of Liberal Arts in Sustainability at Harvard University and holds an MSc in Environmental Management from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
