Ayako Iyama

Ayako Iyama is Senior Manager in Sustainability-in charge of Human Rights and Community Development in Asahi Group Holdings, Ltd. based in Japan since 2023. Before focusing on food and beverages field, she has been working in the global apparel company for a decade to develop several responsible sourcing projects with multi-stakeholder engagement activities. She also has experiences of labor management issues of suppliers on the ground in Southeast Asia regions based in Vietnam for 3 years since 2019.

From both field and corporate strategy development experiences, she has been trying to contribute how to integrate sustainability into business operations in effective ways up to now. She holds a MSc in Training and Development in University of Reading as well as Graduate Diploma in Development Studies in University of East Anglia.
