On 29 June 2021, we launched the first Gender Benchmark, assessing and ranking 35 of the world’s most influential apparel companies on their contribution to Sustainable Development Goal 5: gender equality and women’s empowerment.
These companies are assessed using the 2020 Gender Benchmark Methodology, which includes 34 indicators distributed across seven measurement areas. The indicators are connected to a company’s full value chain – at corporate level, in the workplace, in the supply chain, marketplace and community. They represent the most salient gender issues in the apparel industry.
The data sheet contains information on the scores of each of these companies. Scores for each company are publicly available at the indicator level for all stakeholders. Individual company results are presented in company scorecards and detailed assessments.
