TANGEDCO

Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) is a state-owned electric utility that supplies electricty to the entire state of Tamil Nadu, India, including the city of Chennai, where it is headquartered. The company serves around 32 million people with electricity. TANGEDCO was established in 2010, when the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) split its generation, transmission and distribution activities into TNEB Limited, Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Limited (TANTRANSCO) and TANGEDCO.
