Metropolitan Electricity Authority
The Metropolitan Electricity Authority of Thailand (MEA) is a state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Interior. It was established in 1958 with the merger of the Bangkok Electric Works and the Electrical Division of the Public Works Department. The MEA provides power supply to 4.3 million customers over an area of 3,192 square kilometres, comprising Bangkok and two other major Thai cities, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan.
