DESCO

Dhaka Electric Supply Company (DESCO) is a public limited company distributing electricity to the northern parts of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established in November 1996 following the Bangladeshi Companies Act 1994. DESCO buys 14% of the national power supply, serving an estimated 7 million people with electricity. The company shares distribution in the city of Dhaka with the Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC).
