China Southern Power Grid

China Southern Power Grid, headquartered in Guangzhou, is one of two state-owned power distribution companies established during China's power system reform in 2002. The company is responsible for investment, construction and management of power transmission and distribution in China's five southern provinces, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hainan and Yunnan. It serves 20% of the Chinese grid, or 272 million people, while the State Grid Corporation of China serves the remaining 80%.
