Yesil Adamlar is the waste management subsidiary of Turkish conglomerate Albayrak Group. The company's 1,062 vehicles and 5,700 employees collect and transport 6,500 tons of waste per day in central Istanbul, serving over 8 million people. Its other activities include waste separation, storage and recycling. It was formed in 1992 when Albayrak Group undertook the first private sector waste management initiative in Turkey. Albayrak Group has also had contracts with the government of Pakistan to conduct essential cleaning and waste services in Lahore and Rawalpindi.
