Wm Morrison Supermarkets (commonly known as Morrisons) is a food retailer operating across 497 supermarkets and serving 9 million customers weekly through these stores and its online home delivery service. Morrisons processes its own produce range, utilising 20 manufacturing sites, as well as distributing and retailing others from its eight distribution centres. The business was founded in 1899 as a market stall in Bradford, England and today is one of the largest retailers in the United Kingdom (UK), with national expansion accelerating after the company's acquisition of fellow retailer Safeway in 2004.
