NatWest Group (NatWest) is a banking and insurance holding company, based in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was established in 1970, as a result of the combination of hundreds of smaller banks across England and Wales. Today, it serves over 19 million customers in the UK. Its three business segments are Retail Banking, Private Banking and Commercial Banking. In 2021 the financial institution employed 59,500 people and had GBP 782 billion GBP in total assets. NatWest is listed on both the London Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange.
