Calavo Growers is an international food company involved in the production and distribution of avocado and other fresh fruits and vegetables. The company operates through three major business segments and sells its products to retail grocery, club stores, mass merchandisers, food distributors and wholesalers across the North American, Asian and European markets. The Fresh segment includes procurement and marketing of fresh avocadoes and other produce such as tomatoes and papayas. The Renaissance Food Group segment produces, markets and distributes fresh-cut fruits and vegetables and prepared foods. The Foods segment creates and distributes refrigerated packaged foods such as guacamole and salsa. The company's products are sold under a variety of private label and store brands, and the company's own Calavo, Garden Highway and Chef Essentials brand names.
