Asahi Group

Asahi Group is a global beer, spirits, soft drinks and food business group and is among the largest brewers in Asia. The company was founded in 1889 and launched Japan's first bottled beer in 1900. Today, Asahi Group owns and operates 70 manufacturing plants and 143 subsidiaries, both domestically and abroad, with market shares in Australasia, Europe, North America and Asia. Over time the company has diversified, with its food segment manufacturing and selling products including confectionary, health foods, supplements and powdered milk. However, the largest proportion of revenue still comes from its alcoholic beverages business.
