Terrena

Terrena is a diversified agribusiness with operations spanning much of the value chain. The cooperative operates in four main sectors - upstream (grains, vegetables, dairy, machinery, organic farming), advanced plant (seeds, flour milling), meat products and poultry, with a network of 20,117 member farmers covering over 1.7 million hectares of arable land across Europe. The company holds a top three market share position within the poultry and beef markets in France. Terrena came into existence in 2004 with the merger of three national cooperatives, Cana, Caval and GCA, and today its network is based around 500 assemblies called “Bassins de vie” (“living areas”), which take place each year with the elected farmers in their geographical area.
