Act ethically

Additionally, while the company has a mechanism for stakeholders to raise bribery and corruption concerns, it could clarify that this mechanism is accessible to all stakeholders and that the complainant can choose to reveal their identities or remain anonymous.
Furthermore, the company could choose to disclose a policy that outlines its approach towards lobbying and political engagement. It could explicitly state that it refrains from making any political contributions and provide insight into the amount it allocates to lobbying activities.
Provide and promote decent work
While the company states that it respects the health and safety of workers, it could formalise this commitment in a public policy document. The company can extend this expectation to its supply chain, and provide evidence on how it monitors supplier compliance.
Additionally, while the company states that it provides short-term salaries to its workers which include wages and other benefits, it has an opportunity to commit to paying a living wage by setting a time-bound target. The company could also explain its method for determining a living wage in each region and how it supports suppliers in ensuring their workers receive a living wage.
Moreover, while the company advocates gender equality and undertakes women’s empowerment initiatives, it has an opportunity to explicitly commit to these objectives, set related time-bound targets, and report data ,including the ratio of the basic salary and remuneration of women to men.
Respect human rights
The company has the opportunity to disclose a policy statement that commits to respecting human rights. Additionally, while the company commits to respect the right not to be subject to discrimination, it has an opportunity to place this statement in a formal policy document, and reference all the ILO fundamental rights at work. The company could further extend the same expectation to its business relationships.
Furthermore, the company could articulate a comprehensive process for identifying risks and impacts related to human rights throughout all its activities and the supply chain. It could also elaborate on how it evaluates and identifies its salient human rights issues, and provide insight into how it considers relevant factors such as geographic, economic, and social aspects. Moreover, the company could unveil a global system designed to prevent, mitigate, or address its salient human rights issues.
