Lactalis

Lactalis is one of the largest dairy processing companies in the world. Headquartered in France, the company has a global presence with 270 production facilities across 51 different countries. 50% of Lactalis' revenue is generated in Europe, with 33% in Americas, and 17% in Agrica, Asia and Pacific. Similarly, within its broad product portfolio, 40% of revenue comes from cheese, 19% from liquid milk and 14% from chilled dairy, with the rest comprised of butter, cream, dairy ingredients and nutrition, and others. The company was founded in 1933 by Andre Besnier and remains family-owned to this day. Lactalis was known as 'Besnier' until changing its name in 1999.
