E-Mart is a discount store and retailer, and the oldest such company in South Korea. E-Mart consolidated its leading domestic market position by acquiring all nationwide Walmart Korea stores in 2006. Emart entered the US market in 2018 and run 52 grocery stores in the US as of 2021, and are currently expanding into Mongolia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The company has an online presence, Emart Traders, as well as health and beauty stores and discount store brands.
