Cutrale is a family-owned company, founded in 1967, and is currently one of the world's largest processors and manufacturers of orange juice, with a significant operational presence in Brazil and the US. In 2015, the company acquired Chiquita Brands International in a joint venture with Safra Group. Chiquita is primarily involved in growing, procuring, and selling bananas and other fresh produce, particularly pineapples. Cutrale exports 98% of its orange juice production to more than 90 countries in North America, Europe, and Asia. Its primary customers are manufacturers of ready-made beverages and supermarket chains.
