Founded in France in 1853, the company is owned by the Bonduelle family and has been passed down for seven generations. The company's products are grown by 2,551 farmers on 115,300 hectares of land globally and are sold in nearly 100 countries. With over 50 industrial production sites, Bonduelle's main consumer markets include Europe, North America, and Eurasia, with approximately 47% of revenue generated in Europe. In 2022, Bonduelle announced the sale of 65% of Bonduelle Americas Long Life, with an enterprise value of C$850 million, to institutional investors Fonds de solidarité FTQ and Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec ("CDPQ").
