Founded in 1994, NorgesGruppen is a wholesaling group which runs various retail chains. It owns approximately 875 grocery stores, alongside 950 grocery stores owned by retailers. NorgesGruppen has around 1,200 brand suppliers, including 650 local food producers, and with stores in 88% of the municipalities in Norway is among the largest domestic food retailers. The company has been in existence in its current form for 20 years but operates with 150 years of wholesaling and retail experience.
