Mitsui is a trading company engaged in multiple sectors, namely mineral and metal resources, energy, machinery and infrastructure, chemicals, mobility, healthcare, retail, and nutrition and agriculture. Through its subsidiaries and associated companies, the food business unit is involved in the supply and production of raw materials such as soya beans, cotton, grains and coffee. Mitsui also engages in processing and manufacturing, including animal feed for salmon and shrimp farming, broilers, fruit and vegetables, tea, refined sugar and premixes. The company has a global presence, with offices, subsidiaries and manufacturing facilities across six continents.
